Instructions for Building a Pop Bottle Bird HouseOne of the main materials that you need in creating a pop bottle bird house is of course, a pop bottle. A two liter bottle is best. Remove all of the labels and clean the inside of the bottle. Let the bottle dry. Cut a little door into the side of the bottle. Then either paint the bottle with a non translucent paint or cover it with weather proof fabric. Lastly, hang in on the tree and wait for the birds to discover it. If you want to make the pop bottle bird house more colorful and exciting, you could paint designs and draw on all the materials before or after placing them on the bird house. Instructions for Creating a Pop Bottle Bird FeederAgain, a two liter bottle is a good size to use. Remove labels and clean the bottle as before. Drill two small holes at the bottom of the bottle and remember that the bottom of it will be the top of the feeder. Thread through one hole into another and twist the ends of the wire to make a loop for hanging your feeder. When sealing the holes, you could use some duct tape or caulk so that rain and other outside elements could not get into your pop bottle bird house. Lastly, drill a 5/16 holes on the opposite sides of the bottle and insert an eight or nine inch by 5/16 - dowels into the pairs of holes where birds could rest. Repeat these instructions until you have created a series of perches.
